Toei, a major producer of samurai movies, is transforming its Kyoto Studio Park into Uzumasa Kyoto Village, an immersive entertainment experience geared towards adults. Opening March 28, 2026, the park recreates a bustling Edo-period cityscape.
Visitors can dress in period kimonos and explore streets filled with shows and activities. Enjoy ninja adventures, Noh and kyogen theater, tea ceremonies, and flower arrangement lessons. The park will stay open until 9 p.m., offering an authentic nighttime experience.
Uzumasa Kyoto Village will also feature street stalls with Kyoto craft beer, meals, snacks, and souvenir shops selling items like Minoyaki ceramics. Preview images show a recreation of a cho-han dice game den, offering a unique glimpse into Edo-period entertainment.
