Sanrio's Pompompurin joins the Japan Sumo Association collab with adorable keychains. See the characters in sumo attire at the Sanrio Exhibition in Tokyo this spring!
Sanrio and the Japan Sumo Association have launched a second round of merchandise featuring Hello Kitty and friends in sumo-inspired outfits. This time, the spotlight is on Pompompurin, whose signature 'butthole' detail remains visible even in his sumo loincloth, defying physics and delighting fans.
The new collection includes rubber keychains featuring Hello Kitty as a ring announcer, Kuromi as a referee, and Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin in sumo wrestler aprons. These 3D keychains offer a unique view of the characters' sumo attire.
The keychains are available for purchase online through SuMALL for 1,430 yen (US$9.25) starting April 27. Consider sporting one while visiting the Sanrio Exhibition: The Beginning of Kawaii, currently in Tokyo.
