Studio Ghibli's 'Princess Mononoke' is being adapted into a live-action kabuki play, set to premiere in Tokyo in July and August 2026. The main cast has been announced, promising a unique theatrical experience for fans.
Hayao Miyazaki's iconic anime film, 'Princess Mononoke,' is coming to the kabuki stage in Tokyo. Performances will be held at the Shinbashi Enbujo Theater in July and August 2026, offering a new way to experience this classic story. Dango Ichikawa will play Ashitaka, and Kazutaro Nakamura will take on the role of San.
