Studio Ghibli is releasing interactive envelopes featuring characters like Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro and No Face from Spirited Away. Sold at Donguri Kyowakoku stores, these envelopes add a playful touch to gifting, especially for New Year's 'otoshidama' (monetary gifts).
These 'Mado Tsuki Pochibukuro' envelopes include cardboard inserts that animate the characters through a window design. For example, the Catbus envelope lets you change the destination displayed on its marker, while the No Face envelope makes the bathhouse tag appear and disappear.
Travelers looking for unique souvenirs or gifts can find these interactive envelopes for 550 yen (US$3.51) each. They offer a fun way to share a bit of Ghibli magic with friends and family.
