The main celebration, Hon-matsuri, occurs every three years (2026 next), featuring over 50 mikoshi. The Tomioka Hachiman-gū, the host shrine, has the heaviest mikoshi in the Kantō region, though it’s usually on display due to its weight and valuable decorations.
